Sarah Brown FWCF
Sarah attended pre-farrier in 2000 and started shoeing in 2002. She served her apprenticeship under Derek Gardner AWCF in Penrith Cumbria. She qualified in 2007 and shod horses in Cumbria until late 2008, when she moved Yorkshire to live and work. The horses she shoes are varied, mainly hacks and eventers, dressage and showing. She also does a few Clydesdales and Shires, which she finds are great fun. She loves all aspects of competing and of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and how both of these help one maintain the highest standards in their everyday work. In 2011, she passed the Associate of The Worshipfull Company of Farriers and in 2015, she passed the Fellowship of The Worshipfull Company of Farriers. She has competed on the Scottish Team both as an apprentice and as a qualified farrier. She is especially excited and humbled to be Judging and presenting at the Fall Conference and Competition. She hopes you all have a good go, but more importantly have a great time.
Steven Beane FWCF
Steven started shoeing and competing 23 years ago. He runs a large shoeing business with 3 apprentices shoeing multiple disciplines including riding horses, eventers, dressage, racing and heavy horses. He sees shoeing as his life and is very honoured and privileged to represent Hellar and the Mustad group. He is a Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers, and also Examiner and a Company Judge. He has represented the England team for the last 15 years in a row. A 5 time World Champion at the Calgary Stampede, 3 time British National Champion and 3 time European Champion. To date Steven is the only farrier who has won all the major titles. He is truly a Champion of Champions!
