We had about a dozen people attend the Clinic with Adam Degenstein CJF., we limited the number so everyone could hear, ask questions and see up close what he was doing. With Adam’s extensive knowledge and years of experience being on the Canadian Farrier Team it was an amazing opportunity for those attending to gain knowledge of key details in maintaining your working tools that we use every day on the job.
The Clinic was held at Rick Higginson’s shop in Ryder Lake on a typical wet West Coast Day. We had a good number of Students attend which was our goal having them meeting other Farriers and make connections for the future.
Even though it was a cool day we had coffee and donuts plus the forge going which made it a welcoming day for everyone.
We would like to give a big shoutout to the Western Canadian Farriers Association for the Sponsorship and for High Country Horseshoes for lending us some equipment for the Clinic! Plus a big Thank You to Adam for coming down from 100 Mile to do the clinic and giving up his weekend for us!
I’m sure all those who attended came away more knowledge on how to get their knives sharper, tongs fit properly, stamps shaped correctly, hammer handles shaped and fitted to the proper length for them.
